Hello, As we transition into a new school year, the Down Syndrome Association of Greater Cincinnati is available to provide support and resources every step of the way! We are dedicated to working collaboratively with schools and families to foster a positive learning environment for students with Down syndrome. School Services All of these services are provided to families and schools at no cost. - Peer Presentations - customized presentations to enhance classmates understanding of Down syndrome
- Staff / Faculty Trainings - training topics include learning strategies, behavioral interventions, IEP breakdowns for students with Down syndrome, and more
- IEP Assistance – we work individually with parents and school teams to review and make recommendations on the student's IEP.
- School and/or Behavior Liaison – we are available to attend school or behavior meetings as a liaison to advocate for the student's best interest.
- Observations & problem solving - we can observe students in their classroom and work with school teams to aid in student success.
- Homeschool Group - Our homeschool group offers support and connection for local DSAGC families who homeschool. The group offers numerous meetups for learning and social opportunities.
